The purpose of these Templar Interviews is informal and personal and its sole objective is to share knowledge, concerns, initiatives and projects of interest that contribute to bringing together the different sensitivities related to the Order of the Temple, to face the challenges that the world situation currently presents.

Ancient Gnostic Order of Knights of the Temple of Solomon.
1.- Can you introduce yourself, please, and tell us which Order you represent?
My name is Sir David de Paul KGMTpl. and I represent the Ancient Gnostic Order of Knights of the Temple of Solomon. Present Grand Master for 17 years now. I was myself Knighted into the Gnostic Branch of the Order of the Temple in 1977. A year later just before the death of the then Grand Master the transmission of the Order was passed on to me. I did not accept the Office of Grand Master until many years later as I wanted to know in my heart I was qualified to serve in that capacity with both the knowledge and hereditary bloodline.
2.- You are a recognized and respected person in the Templar World. Has your perception of life as a human being changed at all?
No, my perception about life as a human being has not changed. Each day we should strive not to be better than another human being but rather to be better than our former self each and every day.
3.-How would you define the remarkable growth of the Templar Orders today?
The growth of the Templar Order today is great but with it we see far to many Order’s with no true legitimacy much less true hereditary connections. This actually makes the growth of the legitimate Order’s far more important so we are properly presented or represented.
4.-Do you consider that the new Templar Orders are decisive in a more humanized change in society?
Yes we are more decisive. But we must do so without being the judge of another. We must follow what the Christ taught, not what is our own opinion. We also must be more inclusive and place female Dame Templars in more important leadership roles within the Order. This shows growth instead of stagnation.
5.- Would you consider a Civil and Universal Organization, based on the Templars Principles and Virtues?
Yes, I would. I am for Templar Unification regardless of different ways we may or may not present the Order, but our beliefs must remain Christian although we should include the Mystic and Gnostic Catholic branches of the Order as well as mainstream Christian denominations. We should NEVER allow bias, jealousy, gender exclusion, or judgemental opinions, define us. Being open minded means we can grow greatly using the bonds of Templar Brotherhood & Sisterhood as our true foundation. We must create equal value for each other as both Knights, Dames, or as a overall organization. We have many branches but yet we are still today the same tree.
6.- Do you consider that the Order of the Temple can recover the Military character of yesteryear?
Yes, we can recover some of our Military charactor and should also be showing our Templar drills and ritual methods. Learning the Weapons used by the Order both yesterday & today is important. Our first weapon is the protection of our Lord the Christ and Our Most Holy Mother, the Angels, and our beloved Saints. We wear always the full Armour of the Christ.
7.- Do you think that in the near future a unity front would be possible between the Masonic, Rosicrucian and Templar disciplines, as a projection of the birth of a New Humanity?
I am myself for Unity between kindred Order’s. Can the historical Order of the Temple also make alliances with Freemasonry & the Rosicrucian Order’s ? I believe the answer is yes but it will only be the wise of us that understand that we can have Unity between us based upon mutual respect and by creating equal value between the Order’s. There are today still many Templar Knights that do not like the Freemasons, or that today our Order has women membership in high Knight Officer status. They only tend to help stagnate the Order from its true growth in today’s world.
8.- What does being a Grand Master mean for you and how do you front the challenges of the future?
Having the high honor of being a respected and well loved Grand Master is important to me. But it is not important to me from the direction of personal ego. I feel that holding the Office of Knight Grand Master means that I have dedicated my life to being in Service to the Order. Being in Service means bringing that Service into Being. Living it instead of mere lip service. Be a Knight that is a guide, a wayshower. Be a Knight of great merit by actions and deeds. This is for not only a Grand Master to consider but for every Dame or Knight member of the Order of the Temple. Be aware that the Christ reminds us that we are the Temple. What kind of Temple do we truly want to be ? One that stagnates the growth of the Order ? Or one that adds to the growth of the Order by honorable action using wise and sound wisdom and loving our Lord the Christ ?.

Antigua Orden Gnóstica de Caballeros del Templo de Salomón.
1.- ¿Se puede usted presentar, por favor, y decirnos a qué Orden Representa?
Entrevista a Sir David De Paúl. Mi nombre es Sir David de Paul, soy Caballero Templario y Gran Maestre y represento a la Antigua Orden Gnóstica de Caballeros del Templo de Salomón. Soy Gran Maestre desde hace 17 años, hasta el presente. Yo mismo fui nombrado Caballero de la Rama Gnóstica de la Orden del Temple en 1977. Un año más tarde, justo antes de la muerte del entonces Gran Maestre, se me pasó la transmisión de la Orden. No acepté el cargo de Gran Maestre hasta muchos años después, ya que quería saber en mi corazón que estaba calificado para servir ,teniendo la capacidad , el conocimiento y la línea de sangre hereditaria.
2.- Usted es una persona reconocida y respetada en el Mundo Templario ¿ha cambiado en algo su percepción de la vida como ser humano?
No, mi percepción sobre la vida como ser humano no ha cambiado. Cada día debemos esforzarnos por no ser mejores que otro ser humano, sino más bien por ser mejores que nosotros mismos todos los días.
3.- ¿Cómo definiría usted el notable crecimiento de Ordenes Templarias en la actualidad?
El crecimiento de la Orden Templaria hoy en día es grande, pero con él vemos lejos a muchas Ordenes, sin verdadera legitimidad y mucho menos verdaderas conexiones hereditarias. En realidad, esto hace que el crecimiento de la Orden legítima sea mucho más importante para que se nos presente o represente adecuadamente.
4.- ¿Considera usted, que las nuevas Órdenes Templarias son determinantes en un cambio más humanizado de la sociedad?
Sí, somos más decididos. Pero debemos hacerlo sin ser el juez de otro. Debemos seguir lo que Cristo enseñó, no nuestra propia opinión. También debemos ser más inclusivos y elevar a las Damas Templarias en roles de liderazgo más importantes dentro de la Orden. Esto muestra crecimiento en lugar de estancamiento.
5.- ¿Se plantearia usted una Organización Civil y Universal, basada en los Principios y las Virtudes Templarias?
Sí, lo haría. Estoy a favor de la Unificación Templaria, independientemente de las diferentes formas en que presentemos o no la Orden, pero nuestras creencias deben seguir siendo cristianas, aunque deberíamos incluir las ramas católica mística y gnóstica de la Orden, así como las principales denominaciones cristianas. NUNCA debemos permitir que los prejuicios, los celos, la exclusión de género u opiniones críticas nos definan. Tener una mente abierta significa que podemos crecer mucho utilizando los lazos de la Hermandad y Hermandad Templarias como nuestra verdadera base. Debemos crear el mismo valor entre nosotros como Caballeros, Damas o como organización en general. Tenemos muchas ramas, pero todavía hoy somos el mismo árbol.
6.- ¿Considera usted que la Orden del Templo puede recuperar el carácter Militar de antaño?
Sí, podemos recuperar algunos de nuestros caracteres militares y también deberíamos mostrar nuestros ejercicios y métodos rituales templarios. Aprender el armamento utilizado por la Orden tanto ayer como hoy es importante. Nuestra primera arma es la protección de nuestro Señor el Cristo y Nuestra Santísima Madre, los Ángeles y nuestros amados Santos. Usamos siempre la Armadura completa del Cristo.
7.- ¿Piensa usted que en un futuro próximo sería posible un frente de unidad entre las disciplinas Masónicas, Rosacruces y Templarias, como proyección del nacimiento de una Nueva Humanidad?
Soy yo mismo a favor de la Unidad entre órdenes afines. ¿Puede la Orden histórica del Temple también hacer alianzas con la masonería y la Orden Rosacruz? Creo que la respuesta es sí, pero solo seremos los sabios de nosotros los que entendamos que podemos tener Unidad entre nosotros basada en el respeto mutuo y creando el mismo valor entre los de la Orden. Hoy en día todavía hay muchos Caballeros Templarios a los que no les agradan los masones, o que hoy en día nuestra Orden tiene membresías de mujeres en el estatus de Oficial Caballero alto. Solo tienden a ayudar a estancar a la Orden de su verdadero crecimiento en el mundo de hoy.
8.- ¿Qué supone para usted ser Gran Maestro de su Orden y cómo afronta los retos de futuro de la misma?
Tener el gran honor de ser un Gran Maestre respetado y querido es importante para mí. Pero no es importante para mí desde la dirección del ego personal. Siento que ocupar el cargo de Caballero Gran Maestre significa que he dedicado mi vida a estar al servicio de la Orden. Estar en Servicio significa traer ese Servicio a Existencia. Vivirlo en lugar de una mera palabrería. Ser un Caballero que es un guía, un indicador de caminos. Ser un Caballero de gran mérito por acciones y hechos. Esto no solo es para que lo considere un Gran Maestre, sino también para cada Dama o Caballero miembro de la Orden del Temple. Tenga en cuenta que el Cristo nos recuerda que somos el Temple. ¿Qué tipo de Temple queremos ser de verdad? ¿Uno que estanca el crecimiento de la Orden? ¿O uno que se suma al crecimiento de la Orden mediante una acción honorable usando sabiduría sabia y sana y amando a nuestro Señor el Cristo?
